The website is part of a wider project to examine guardianship law in Australia. The project was initially funded by a Macquarie University Research Development Grant 2004-2008 and later by the Sydney Law School  through a Staff Research Development Grant. In addition to this website, the investigators have worked withe the NSW Guardianship Tribunal to de-indentify over 200 decisions from the NSW Guardianship Tribunal so that they can be made publicly available. Some of those decisions are already available at www.austlii.edu.au.
